“Twilight” thesp Ashley Greene is heading for a haunting — she’s in talks to star in “The Apparition” for Joel Silver’s Dark Castle genre label.
Story, inspired by true events, centers on a young couple haunted by a supernatural presence unleashed during a college experiment. Start date for production is Feb. 1.
Silver is producing with Andrew Rona and Alex Heineman. Steve Richards, Sue Baden Powell and Daniel Alter exec produce.
Todd Lincoln is writing and will direct “Apparition,” originally developed by Lincoln, Silver Pictures/Dark Castle exec Heineman and Alter. It was also one of the first projects Dark Castle has picked up since former Rogue Pictures prexy Rona was tapped prexy of Silver Pictures and co-prexy of the genre label late last year.
Dark Castle has “The Losers” in post and is developing “Unknown White Male,” to star Liam Neeson, January Jones and Diane Kruger.
Greene portrays the sister of Robert Pattinson’s Edward Cullen character in the “Twilight” films.
